Memorial 2009. Gave the talk, knew it would be my last meeting. Completely ditched the outline and talked about what it means to truly love our neighbor and show unconditional love. It was a poignant talk that most of the audience responded to. The other elders of course put a bullseye on my back.

haven't officially walked away from the cult over a year ago (had been trying to apply a slow fade over a number of years) and now being able to think clearly, i can truly say that organized religion is the epitome of man's arrogance and ignorance.

Does anyone recognize the Bethel Elder voice in this short video-audio clip who supposedly went on a shepherding call with a Governoring Body member?
by StoneWall inthis is most definitely a pro-jw clip from an elder that is being circulated amongst the local congregations near where i'm at.. it's funny how a lot of the things that have been discussed on here have been included in this in some form or fashion but totally revamped to make it slanted to show the governoring body in a more positive light.
such as them not just being a group of men that meet around a table etc.. the voice seems familiar to me and yet i just can't place it.. the link to this clip was shared by some of my more distant extended family members who are still very much in and support the org.
completely.. after hearing this 6 minute clip it still gives me pause to think that just 5 or so years ago, i too would have been one of those listening to this and taking it to heart just because it came from the platform.. makes me even more thankful for each and every day my family and i are no longer slaves to a publishing company.. if you get a chance to view some of the comments on the main page that this is taken from, it's sad to see how many are still under thought/mind control.. anyways if someone does recognize who's voice this is please leave their name on a comment or pm it to me.. it is bugging me because it seems like i should know this elder but can't place him at the moment.. here is the link to the vid/audio:.

Bethel Chicks who were HOT
by Black Man ini occasionally recollect over some of the female bethelites - especially the hot ones.
i was there in the 90s, when the commuter program was in full swing and sisters would sign up as commuters often to snage a full-time bethelite.
anyone remember the wiggins sisters?

Sorry if this post was offensive to some - that was not the intent. Perhaps I should've said "attractive bethelites."
00Dad: Umm, its not that deep..............

I was there in the 90s, when the commuter program was in full swing and sisters would sign up as commuters often to snage a full-time bethelite. Anyone remember the Wiggins sisters? There were 3 of them who got quite a bit of attention from regular staff. In the infirmary you had the lovely Nicolette - who I wonder whatever became of.
On the married tip, there were a few bethelites with fine wives. I remember Preston Griffin's wife (who everyone said looked like Halle Berry). She couldn't wait to get out the madhouse and was able to by getting pregnant.
Any hot bethel chicks you remember - what say you??!!

BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?
by Black Man ini often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.
while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).
a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

False Christians chose the modern Bible books
by lifeisgood inone of the issues that i discovered when i took two years off from the jws to just study the bible is the contents of the modern bible do not even come close to matching the contents of the holy books that the first christians used.
not even close.
off by over 550 books.. now, the jws claim that the catholic church is false religion.

I always framed a lot of the decisions made at the Council of Nicea regarding the bible books as akin to a looooong extended JWs elders meeting, where decisions are arbitrary and random as hell and rife with a lotta personal politics and agendas.
